Their wet rating isn't as bad as some of the guys in this thread say, besides who in their right minds drives fast on public streets in the pouring rain? I'm sure they are fine during normal driving just not so great during wet track days but that's to be expected with extreme performance summer tires.
True. I always drive very slow during the rain but it ices here real bad sometimes, but I guess it doesn't matter what kind of street tire you have when the ground is completely covered in a slippery sheet of ice

No. I'd stick w/ 205/55-16 on 6.5" width wheel. If you REALLY want wider, go w/ 225/50-16, but I heard people don't like it as much as on 7" width wheel.

Check out this price for:
245/45ZR17 Hankook Ventus R-S2
In Stock 4 tires $71.00 $284.00

Total cost for 4 tires, with shipping out the door:

$331.44

I don't even need tires right now cuz I got a new set like 3 weeks ago, but damn, for that price, I just couldn't pass that up!

Thanks original poster for the info!!!

PS: I don't autox anymore, and wanted something similar to the stock STi tires and these are rated better then them in almost every category.
Daniel, you get those already? You should have gotten 245/40-17, which are the same height as your 225/45-17...

Nevermind... Repost...

driving the speed limit on the freeway in the rain is still considered "fast" for the given conditions.

Yeah no big deal on the size it won't make a really big diff at all... I've had this size befor and no biggy plus the extra sidewalk is nice on the crappy *** bay area roads with their abundance of six inch deep potholes that bend wheels.
