Just called my tire friend who is a manager at America's tire, he said that the XL just means that the tire has a higher weight load rating, which makes no difference in terms of performance on our cars what so ever. So I placed my order, and I get them mounted and everything for free.
Check out this price for:
245/45ZR17 Hankook Ventus R-S2
In Stock 4 tires $71.00 $284.00
Total cost for 4 tires, with shipping out the door:
$331.44
I don't even need tires right now cuz I got a new set like 3 weeks ago, but damn, for that price, I just couldn't pass that up!
Thanks original poster for the info!!!
PS: I don't autox anymore, and wanted something similar to the stock STi tires and these are rated better then them in almost every category.

These hankooks haven't been around that long and weren't ever really expensive so they moved them rather quickly so I doubt that will be the case with these.

I jumped on these yesterday.
Hey Brucelee, I would recommend running 245x40 instead of 245x45. The 245x40 is closer to the OEM size than the 245x45. Not a big deal...you will just have a little more sidewall, and your speedometer/odometer will be off an extra couple MPHs.

These are really nice tires! I would have gone with them if goodyear didn't have a good offer when I needed new ones.
Oh, and TireRack has only carried these for 2 or 3 years.

Their wet rating isn't as bad as some of the guys in this thread say, besides who in their right minds drives fast on public streets in the pouring rain? I'm sure they are fine during normal driving just not so great during wet track days but that's to be expected with extreme performance summer tires.
