What I don't get is this - the influenza virus mutates often, so how can a vaccine developed at the beginning of the year be affective against a virus that has spent all year mutating over and over?

Also of concern is that the H1N1 vaccine is a live virus vaccine...

From what I have read and heard, it affects people with strong immune systems harder because it essentially turns your immune system against you. In babies and elderly people, the immune systems are not as strong so they have a harder time fighting off the regular flu. This one apparently has a way of confusing your immune system and turning it against your body, so those with stronger immune systems (the age group brucelee mentioned from 'the news') are the ones who are at greater risk in this case.

Again, see the disclaimer.

That said, I have not had a flu shot since I can remember and to my knowledge I have not had "the flu" yet I remember co-workers going in like cattle for flu shots and always claiming sick days for the flu. I am going to do my best to not get sick, and to stay away from this H1N1 vaccine.
If that is the case, and I'm not saying you're wrong... all these people taking the "vaccine" are going to get stupid pwned and DIE (again, back to controlling the population) if their vaccined out immune systems turn on the host...

Please give me my automatics when the zombies start inhabiting the streets...

Im pretty sure thats not correct. I have yet to see someone over 30 years old get the swine flu, at least where I work that is. The first patient I helped was actually 26 years old.

I think I read that the normal influenza virus can be somewhat predicted, so scientists predict how it will mutate, if they're wrong people getting the shot are SOL.
