Actually, old people are less likely to get the swine flu due to immunity that they have built up during their life... Little kids and people under 35 are most likely to get it and die from it.

They're controlling the population, you take that mass vaccine shot I guarantee there will be defects somewhere later.
Hundreds of thousands die annually from "regular" flu. 3-5000 in the US alone. Why swine flue is any more deadly, I dont understand, but whatever. Perhaps because more people have died compared to the people that have been exposed to it?

Saw it on the news last night actually... They said people under 35 are most likely to die from it... But obviously people of all ages that are in poor health are most likely to die... I was referencing people in good overall health of all ages. They said little kids die the most, along with people in their late 20's or something like that. I raised an eyebrow too.

Disclaimer: This could all be bull****.

From what I have read and heard, it affects people with strong immune systems harder because it essentially turns your immune system against you. In babies and elderly people, the immune systems are not as strong so they have a harder time fighting off the regular flu. This one apparently has a way of confusing your immune system and turning it against your body, so those with stronger immune systems (the age group brucelee mentioned from 'the news') are the ones who are at greater risk in this case.

Again, see the disclaimer.

That said, I have not had a flu shot since I can remember and to my knowledge I have not had "the flu" yet I remember co-workers going in like cattle for flu shots and always claiming sick days for the flu. I am going to do my best to not get sick, and to stay away from this H1N1 vaccine.

ORly? I thought old people's (talking 80+) immune systems slow down from age. Oh well, too lazy anyway.

I thought that was HIV/AIDS? From what I've heard H1N1 is just the flu, but just a evolved version no one has the antibodies for, explaining the quick spread. If what you posted is true, then I don't think having the antibodies would help you anyway, if it confuses your immune system.

Also, flu shots can not get you sick. Your body may react as if it is sick, it's fighting off the virus in the shot creating antibodies, so you may still have the symptoms such as getting a fever and such, however, you can not spread the disease because you don't have an active virus.
