I don't know of any KA SOHC turbo kits, but I haven't been in the 240 crowd for a few years. Here's my experience with the 240:
First is suspension, wheels, and tires (as is with most cars). That makes the 240SX so much more fun to drive even under stock power.
Second, do not, I say again: DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON BOLT ON PARTS for that particular engine. Your best bet is to go with either the red top or black top SR20 engines in this case (whichever one happens to be less expensive). Basic power upgrades from there will get your blood pumping.

it may not be engineered well, but change the pistons, and that lil truck motor could take a hell of a lot of boost. get the GReddy kit made for the KA24DE for good, boosted, CARB-legal fun, some Megan coilovers, change the obviously aged bushings, and teach her how to go sideways

and to prove im not a SR hater....
getting the KA-T to make decent power would cost just about as much as a SR
after that point its easier to make more power out of the SR =D
what about weight anyone know how much these hearts weigh?

hmmmm i dont know about that man...think about it...take xatracing.com's quotes for example....
sr, to get ~450whp=$14,100 (as seen here http://www.xatracing.com/sr20det.htm"
ka-t, to get ~450whp=$10,250(http://www.xatracing.com/katurbo.htm)
for the prices, on the ka-t you get basically a rebuilt, fully built proof bottom end. for half the difference you could probably build up the top end the same way. the weight is just about the same. go to ka-t.org to do your research on it. they have a 700hp, 9sec. ka-t. so much for being a little truck engine...
