Following the link brings you to an interactive page which highlights how Google gets around paying high taxes.

Short answer: most of them. It's all legal though.

The dude who sits next to me at work does a lot of work in litigation where the tax scheme is a lot more in the grey area than this.

Have you read the fair tax book?

On another car/tax related note, a friend of mine got a free Porsche 914 from Bob Hall, the guy who wrote The Flat Tax book (not the same as the fair tax). I went to his house to pick it up.

Maybe. I'm just really awe struck by the whole system Google uses. Not in a bad way. I actually think it is awesome.

as x said.....

we have had the same woman doing our taxes for over 10 years now. she was sort of a small firm back then 1998. now they have like 10 buildings in P-town, and a million emps. moral to the sroty? i get PAID every year for taxes. she is a GENIUS whith this stuff, and has tought her minions well. hence her business has taken off. she knows how to save money using our tax system. i bet she thinks this is the coolest thing since sliced bread....

anyway, as paul said, it is our duty as a money mongering society to pay as little as possible.
