Anyone know of a good dealership to take my car too to have the A/C worked on? I called Stevens Creek but they were booked until the end of the year .. Any suggestions? Past Experiences with other dealerships?

 

What do you need done?

If it's simply a recharge of the A/C system, go to Kragen/Autozone/etc. and get yourself a recharge kit. DIY saves money, and going to Steven's Creek is simply stupid...amazingly so for the reputation they have.

I was kidding about Stevens creek.. I actually work at Autozone (for now) i recharged it and it still all messed up. It has to be a subaru dealership so my warranty says, Any suggestions?

 

Oh good lord i hope you dont go through what i just did.My compressor took a dump , and when it did a piece of it got stuck somewhere else in the system, so 3 dealship visits(santa cruz) and 2k later they replaced EVERYTHING!

 

Ahh man.. What did your car do when your compressor went out? Im still covered under warranty right now. They put an entire new AC in your car?

 

It started to just be cool when i had the AC on then the air would just get hot.I tried the recharge first with a pressure test and that didnt work,so then i bought a compressor and it worked for awhile then stopped again.So in the end they replaced the drier, evaporator,condenser and the high side line.Now it works cherry(of course now winter is almost here)by the way this was on a 2002 wrx.Good luck to you.
