Santa Cruz' reputation is starting to take a dive.
Recently they screwed a guys engine while doing routine maintenance, told him they caused the problem, then tried to help him by going to SOA.
SOA said it was the dealers fault and not SOA. SOA would only offer $1000 off MSRP on any new Subaru. Then Santa Cruz changed their tune and didn't want to fix the guys car. He got screwed over, but is taking them to court.

Wow! Both these cases are new news to me... I remember about 4-5 years back, they scrapped my bumper during service. Mark looked at it, apologized, and agreed to fix it immediately... I haven't been back there for a while since I am out of warranty and I do as much work myself as I can now.
damn, hate to see a great dealership go down...

I wonder if it has to do with Bruce's promotion?
Nobody's perfect, I guess. I just had a ball joint replaced that was likely ripped when Santa Cruz did some warranty work on my tranny last year...

Santa Cruz couldn't even figure out how to install a Subaru oem alarm ... they told me that they didn't know how to do it. That's all I need to know to stay away from their service department.
That was 2 years ago.
