Good & *Cheap* custom paint shop in Hayward?
Anybodoy know a good and *cheap* custom paint shop in Hayward? Cheap is more important because it's a beaten up car that just needs a new paint job and some custom work. Not trying to do anything too fancy

cheap paint is like cheap tires you get what you pay for. spend the money for a good paint job.

good and custom go together but cheap does not go together with either of those... 04caliwrx is right, you get what you pay for with everything you buy...

im sure they do but im not sure on the price.your best bet would be to call them or maybe shop around and look at mom and pop bodyshops around your area.

maaco does custom... but it depends on what you mean by custom... if i was you... i would do the following...
remove all the trim, lights, badges, windows etc... pretty much anything and everything you can removed remove it... even doors if you want a decent job done... then do to any hardware store and buy plastic cover and RED duct/masking tape it is the stickiest and easiest thing to remove ever, also a exacto knife... and do all the covering yourself trust me you dont want to bring it to them to do the covering they will cut corners everywhere they can... and this is what costs an assload to do at a pro shop... the better the prep work the better the paint job...
at that point you have 2 choices bring it to them and let them do their thing or get scotch brite pads and scuff up the paint yourself to the point there is no shine or gloss off the paint... and then let them do their thing...
you should have a fairly decent paint job at this point... but like everyone said.. . you get what you pay for... they will most likely single step your paint... where they shoot paint base coat paint coat and clear coat in a single shot... rather than multistep it... if it makes you feel better Honda, Mitsubishi and Chrysler all do this on their new factory cars...
