can you imagine going to LA? I am flying there instead...lol.. Bakersfeild, Coalinga, Button Willow, Grapevine etc. gas prices GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is when you wish you had a UTEC ECU... My old WRX has a map on 87 octane and 8 psi of boost that I can select and go for long trips and then gas up and flick back to the other map and back to 91 octane..

last nite, the news said the only reason they raised the prices....

a: diesel spill
b: lack of new stuff
c: because they can

if you pick "c"... you got it right. greedy bastards. supply and deman. like 6 or 7 wholesalers in the state is gouging the hell out of it...

I drove down there two weeks ago. Not only was the gas down 5 expensive, but most of LA was ~ $2.60 a gallon.

Having said that, the WRX was getting 26-27 to the gallon while on the freeway so it only cost me a couple of tanks. I was down there for 3 days so I figured that with flight + rental it was still a lot cheaper to take my car.
