I usually get ~20mpg pretty much exactly every tank. After a flash/tune from Mike, i'm getting ~21-22 now. My driving is pretty much consistent. 100 miles a day all freeway M-F It's very easy for me to compare tanks. THat and the fact that before the tune, I never got over 20mpg. ~30k miles

Just a thought...I have nothing to back it up. Maybe somedays I drive smoother than others. Who knows. I drive hard pretty regularly and get around 220-230 miles.

Like how high of a rev are you talking about?

wow really? i have been consistently getting 200-220 miles per tank on my STi until just recently when I've had a string of 240-250 mile tanks... not driving any differently........ I thought summer gas would be better?
I get the same average of 220ish miles per tank. (Combo of city/highway) I got approx 300 when I did mostly highway even on **** water cali 91 octaine. I'm running a full tbe, accessport stage 2 cali map, and samco ic hoses.

Driving a bmw with the mpg guage (I have no idea how accurate it is) showed that it was better to use less throttle and rev higher, than it was to use alot of throttle and keep the revs low. How/Whether this applies to turbocharged cars, I have no idea.

I am sure many people here (Racenut for one) have the same setup as you do and get better mileage.
Could anyone comment on if the BOV might have something to do with it?
you'll definately take a hit on gas mileage with a bov.
As for mpg I average around 16-17 mpg in SF. You know how many hills and stops and whatnot there are in SF. Most were with regular shifts at 3k rpms.
Went on a drive with the local subie community in the back mountain roads, stayed in high 2nd most of the time and ended up with 23 mpg on that tank lol.
