I just sent the wife with our Honda over for some routine-ish work. :-) I knew you would take good care of the car without charging us exorbitant amounts while I am out doing my thing.

this is how your supposed to drive a Suby. I bought my 04 STI in Dec 03, by Jan 05 (13 months) I had 51k miles on it.

Best 51k miles ever.

Had two STi's come in this week for "engine noise"...and not the good kind of engine noise, either.

^^^ holy crap! Where those cars running a lot of power? Tuned aggressively? I've never seen the stock pistons do that before personally.

I wish subaru would just put in forged pistons from the factory, then again, it keeps all of the local shops in business, lol.

I don't think these motors would have survived with forged pistons either. Those cylinders saw huge amounts of knock and heat. If the pistons didn't go, the bearings would have taken the beating and failed instead.
