dude, that place is all bad. i remember driving 25 minutes from tracy just to have some runs. Some people got on the freeway, but some turned back. we ended up getting there and having 8 way races. Several cops swarmed and people were drving with their lights off. How f-kin stupid. it use to be nasa, but its not theirs anymore...

2 fun stories form the last week:

5/1 - I was out there at 1am doing some runs by moonlight.... very strange, very creepy. Driving into a compound labeled "government property, no tresspassing" conjours images of black helicopters and SWAT teams. The runway I was on is about 1.6 miles long. I put a flashlight at one end so I'd know where it was and charged at it for over a mile at WOT.... fun :)

5/13 - On the way doen to Rim, I was riding down with MoDrift in his STi. "Hey let's stop by that airbase I was telling you about". "Sure". We pulled into the compound immediately to seea guy in a pickup truck near one of the buildings. "He's probably just looking around". We turned the corner to see about 20 police cars parked outside the trailers there: "ok, yeah, let's turn around and leave now". On the way out the guy in the pickup trusk intercepted us and ask "are you guys looking for the Sherrif?" "uhh...no, we're just driving around" "Well you have to leave this is a restricted area" "uhh.. okthanksbyewereleavingrightnow". On the way down to Rim after that we passed maybe 100+ police cars, bike and trucks all headed north bound... we suspect to the airfield. It would have made for a fun Blue's Brothers'-sque car chase.

Moral - night time is creepy but there were cops chillin' there during the day.
