Sounds like the real winner would be a hood scoop extension to put the inlet of the scoop right up front by the grille - then you have the best of both worlds with the throttle response of a TMIC but the steady supply of air like a FMIC. It would look really, really stupid though.
Ahhh Thanks for the info. I would like to see said info. I wonder what year scoop works best.

I would be interested to see the results of the different years hood scoops.
Makes me wonder how the engine does when driving 75+ on the freeway for extended periods of time.

Yep, effectively, the blast of air into the scoop rises with speed and will completely miss the entry of the hood scoop above certain speeds with certain models.
