My friend has a 03 gti 20th anniversary. He went from 1 front mount to to a dual front mount intercooler and it was ILLEGAL. Without carb stickers that say it is legal to make the engine mods you did, you are 100 percent going to get stopped and going to have questions asked... =(

it really depends cause cops don't know how to look for i/c, they're mostly trained to look for a CAI or bov or the other popular illegal mods. Out of all the modded cars here, very few have aftermarket fmics on their cars compared to popular mods like exhaust and CAI.

it is illegal. they will put you in jail for life and steal your family after they move them to a remote country and change their identity. After the they will give you a reservation at the end of a rope

...all of that for having an FMIC and robbing a bank.

sounds similar to that Stone Cold Steve Austin movie where they shipped him to a remote island to fight other criminals all with a bomb on their neck

being in the chp for a short time and having a bro still in it... I can tell you that a fmic is not illegal only because it doesn't mess with emissions. it simpley cools the air...no carb sticker needed.

Tell that to the cops that right you up anyway

Plus most FMIC will require an aftermarket intake which will mess with emissions.
