Werd. Jerry From Deadbolt called me today and said that he would expect 30-40 more WHP. This was taken off of a dynojet dyno.
Ave we'll go for a ride one of these days. Hopefully the car won't be filled to capacity.

The dynojets read about 15% higher than the conservative Mustangs and my Road dyno. So, 258whp * 1.15 = 296.7whp. Also remember that the east coast guys have much better gas than we do, so actually it all adds up in the end. Everyone needs to remember... numbers are just numbers, its the gains and real world performance that are most important.

Thanks

Is that a normal boxer trait for the HP to just flatten out after 5200?

That mainly has to do with the flow of the turbo and the displacement of the engine. With the 2.5l and a small turbo like that, you reach the turbo's maximum flow capability early in the RPM range. Passed that point, the turbo can only flow that much air and thus make that much power through the rest of the RPM range. If for example, you ran this turbo on a 2.0, torque would not jump up as high and the HP curve would have more of a slope to it. But with the 2.5 you're utilizing every bit of the turbo starting at very low RPM. This is similar to a WRC car. Since they can only flow ~300hp, they use anti-lag to spool the turbo as quickly as possible to make that 300hp through most of the RPM range.

Thanks

Ah, I missed that it was a 2.5L. Thanks

Jeff took us for a ride in the beast last night. Even with four of us in it, it pulled real hard. There's a ton of power in it now, and that torque curve it has is so sweet. No lag, and whole mess of usable power.
