Finally some good news! Back on the road and EQ Tuned
That's right folks, good news. I picked up my car from Gruppe-s on Thurs. evening of last week. Motor has been reinstalled, compression leak down found to be satifactory after 600 miles. Many props goes out to Gruppe-s, Mike and Tommy in particular. They opened up some time for me and spent some serious hous to get my car back to me ASAP. Every precaution was taken to ensure all was well to have it tuned. Mike & Tommy THANK YOU!!! Yesterday afternoon I arrived in Davis for some country road drag strip action, and a little bit of EQ. After a couple of hour and lots of cigaretts. Here's what we got. I have to give props to Ed at EQ. This was a great experience!!! Feeling to car come alive as you go is great. Lots of Q&A going on as well. Sheds a little light on the TOP SECRET work of tuners.

excellent news Jeff! I'm glad to hear your "headache" has gone away. Is your car tuned pretty conservatively? The reason I ask is because 259awhp seems kinda low....although you cant really argue with 305 ft/lbs! But still....I thought when I saw you that day on the road you said you were around 320awhp. Maybe I am mistaken.....its happened before......once

How does it feel??? The response is really smooth boost slides right in. It's not jary at all. Super smooth. It forces you back into the seat with authority and doesn't let go. There is absolutely 0 lag time while switching gears. It is very quick. Aside from the numbers, it is exactly what I wanted. Very usable power. The power band is perfect for what I use it for . All I can say is this sucker moves out in a hurry.

I don't think I would benefit that much with the 18g. I sized the 18g and the JDM topmount to work together. We never had an issue with heat soak, it just seemed the 18g ran out of breath. The hp flattens out, I take this to mean no more go from the18g.
