with a training video like that, sti owners are going to get punked into going to the referee because of their red intake manifolds

I have been thinking to make a fkn binder with proof of all the legal modifications. Of course, the illegal ones they most likely won't be able to see

who ever knew blue vacuum hose was illegal?

i don't get it, how can they tell if the vehicle is modified for street racing or track/auto cross/ drag on the tracks? THey can't discrimate like that. Anothe question, if they change the exhaust, but not change the CO ouput or other gases output (such as changing the catalytic convertor) is it still illegal? If you only change the muffler ( sound output) thats below the illegal dB level, is that still not ok? I also do not like the fact that he can arrest the driver for not opening the hood, isn't that infringing on our basic rights?

I really want to write a letter to our congress man or governor arguing the fact that not all modifed vehicles are used for street racing. I have an STi and I have never ever street raced. I imght have WOTed to get on the freeway or whatever, but I feel if I am targetted because of a sterotype then it's wrong. Giving out tickets will never stop street racing. Does giving out tickets for speeding stop people from speeding? Maybe, not there will always be people going over the speed limit. Haven't they tried this in other countries? yet modified cars and racing will always be a sport we love. I tihnk if they opened up more tracks or have more autocross events or even advertise safe racing it'll be better than to punish drivers. We all know that if we get a fix it ticket, we'll just take it off and put it back on. Yeah some drivers will take off the front tints or get a quieter or stock exhaust, but the majority of us won't.

All that taught me was stuff I already knew.

No stickers.
No fancy colored **** (replace your hoses with black and/or make sure your stuff has an E/O number).
No clear tail lights.
Run front plate.

It's not really the government or any type authority that's at fault or what not... it's the people that street race! They're the problem, not the effort in saving lives! I've always seen threads like this and always hate the authorities, when actually dumb people that street are the cause of all this, THEY'RE TO BLAME!

Whether we like it or not, people are too dumb to realize that they're affecting other enthusiasts, therefore, some of us cannot have the piece of mind to be able to drive without getting bothered even when driving under normal conditions, for having a simple decal or any type of alleged modifications.
