I spotted my first 2008 WRX yesterday in SJ... It was the sedan version. I was behind it at a light, I didn't even recoginze it at first and then I saw the badges and was like ""! Man, I honestly thought it was a Kia or Hyundai The rear end is terrible in every aspect... What's with all the fake chrome? *barf* I dunno man, I just don't think it will ever grow on me... there are far too many things that can't be fixed easily on that car... The whole design of the rear end is terrible... The lights, shape of the trunk... man, it's just sad that Subaru would do this to our beloved Impreza *tear*

Also, I have another question... Does the STi come with the black plastic intake manifold like the standard WRX does? They totally cheap'd out the car but yet its like 15% more expensive! whats up with that?

Well, think of it as a trade. Your interest rates are going down, house payments, car financing, etc, which makes up for your car payments. haha

From the pictures it looks like a corolla/yaris hybrid. Is that how the tail looked in real life?

The intake manifold is red on the STi, but still plastic like the wrx and legacies.

LOL. Yeah, well the elise/exige is always been a second/third car type of car which is one reason it's adoption's been limited.

350z's are getting real cheap along with the e46 m3s. However both cars are kind of in a limbo period this year where they are about to be replaced with newer, better models. So they seem like good deals now but a year later it's like "crap, there's a new version of this car out and my car suddenly became less awesome" Still awesome of course, but just less awesome

tru.. only difference is if i buy a red 350, i can do a "then and now" pic with my dad's Z. That would be awesome (as well as the car).

Here's another car I'd buy, if they only brought it over.

I think it's the rear spoiler that gets me. Also, does the Mazdaspeed 3 (in the same photogallery) look familiar? I daresay it looks a bit like what the new WRX should've.

I'm kind of scared of getting a Lotus, because all the people in their big SUVs wouldn't notice you and probably run you over.

This is true from personal experience too. I was coming back from a Thill trackday with my MR2 SC and got side swiped by a POS SUV while I was sleeping inside. I was falling asleep on the drive back home, so I decided to pull over to a gas station and take a nap. Imagine my surprise when I feel my car shake and I had to tap the f**k*rs fender to stop turning cuz they were putting a dent in my door. To make a long story short, the 2 old foggies reasoning was that they didn't see me....argh SOBs. Insurance took care of everything but it does happen.

It's more common to have someone back into the lotus in a parking lot than run over it on the highway.
