^ yeah i agree...although the $40K pricetag will show a decrease in thug kids with their sideways hats (usually ex civic owners) from buying the 08 and driving like F-tards.

but yeah STi's were always the $30K car that would beat $80K cars. I want to get a sticker that says "Try me in the Mountains" but then cops would give me too much crap.

Wow $40k....Why don't they just make the Prodrive P2, then sell that instead.

For $40k alot of ppl would defintely get the 335i over the STI or EVO. Better yet, just spend a little extra and get an Elise.

Exactly....the engine, that's about the closest thing that's like the celica...

Exige = lighter supercharged MR Celica engine

In all fairness though this is apples to oranges.

The 335i optioned out is $50k

Same thing with the 135i, it'll be mid 40's when it's optioned out.

And you DON'T want to buy an option-less BMW, it's pointless.

What's pointless about an optionless BMW? What if you prefer RWD to AWD? After driving AWD for 3.5 years in this climate, I do.

A new, optionless 3 series is still much more luxurious than any Impreza... and BMW includes brakes, oil changes, and all other services except tires and gas up until 50k, so factor that into your pricing comparison.
