i guess theyre looking into a more sustainable way to get ethanol and are using seaweed.

There's a company in South San Fran called Solazyme that's been doing stuff like this with Algae for years

stories like this make me hopeful that e85 will stick around long term and that more stations will start popping up
Friend of mine works for a venture capitalist firm in this industry. Got to check out the lab and see the initial seaweed and smell the final diesel product. Amazing stuff.
