EQ Tuning Track Day 2 - Thunderhill - June 1st!
#123
Didn't you start out last year with only 10 cars on track at a time and quickly realized that you could safely run a lot more. With all the different clubs I have run with even 20 cars on track is fine. I wouldn't do more than 20 for the beginner group as they tend to bunch up more because of the more restricted passing rules. I'm not telling you how to run your day but three groups, 20 beginners, 25 intermediate and 25 open usually works real well. That way you are not standing around all day waiting to run again, but have enough time to check the car over, cool off and take a little rest. If I remember right didn't you go to an open track in the afternoon due to the low number of cars still diving.
Lack of drive time was not an issue for anyone last year, so I don't really see any point in crowing the run groups anymore. I'm definitely open to suggestions if I'm missing anything.
Thanks

i think that is his plan but with only 40 cars instead of 70
as far as how many cars can run, in my hpde groups we have def run 40+ cars during a session, Thill is huge. 40 cars would be fine for me as then I can have all the track I want and not have a car in my sights
