Enough Ranting about STi Owners...Those VW R32 Guys are the REAL Dorks!?
I've driven a VW Cabrio and SuperBeetle extensively and would never expect a VW to handle worth a darn. The cars are really cute and fairly inexpensive but the handling is questionable. Then again VW never made an AWD car before this one so I guess it's worth a look.

I used to be big into vw's. bugs and what not. I nearly bought an A4...if the A3 was stateside I probably would have purchased one. i was on the list for the R32 but decided on the wrx before they released the R32 one part because I just needed a car sooner than expected and another part because of the R32 expected mark up.
So yeah...point being....the AWD system they run isn't brand new.
p.s. I still love a nicely fixed up golf/gti. Sick cars.

The mags all compare the R32 to the STi based on price, but the performance is comparable to the WRX. I guess you pay $6k more for a nice interior.
