Engine Oil Light on...

Today as I was leaving work I got the red oil light on .. My oil level is fine... Idle is same .... I reset my battery but it didn't go away... Any ideas?

Bad sensor perhaps? Or check the single wire that goes to it under the alternator! Something else could be if you've got the OEM pickup and it's failed you could see full oil levels but because it cavitating the pump the idiot sensor is seeing no oil pressure at the high point of the engine.

I honestly couldn't say, if it's the oil pickup then no it's not safe to drive the only problem is diagnosing that is going to be expensive. I would suggest stealing another sensor from someone else to and see if it's still the same at idle.
