Hi-Tech Auto Glass - Redwood City, CA

it mentions there 75$ off of your deductible. I'm nto sure, since at the time of my glass repair, i didnt have 100 deductible (was 500). but doug at hitech mentioned changing it to 100 wouldnt be too expensive, and mentioned his 75 off deductible.

You can call doug and ask if you have to go thru insurance first or not. he's a real nice dood.

I dont know if he replaces with stock tho. he mentioned that he has factory glass, but it's missing the subaru logo - WHICH TO ME, is *not* factory glass???? but w/e

(ps: ask if he does onlocation. he mentioned to me he actually services San Jose area as well so he may drive out to oakland?)

Low Price Auto Glass - Dublin, CA

Low Price Auto Glass - Mention that you found them on Yelp and it looks like you can get an extra $30.00 Off.

Thanks!! Just called Doug and yes he's a very nice guy.

I was trying to get Subaru OEM replacement but his glass is Pilkington. He said that they are the manufactures of OEM glass. Anyone know about Pilkington and auto glass?

Pilkington manufactures glasses for BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar and etc. It's a very good brand of glass.

if i had to replace glass, i dunno if i would want to stick with OEM anymore. i've had a variety of cars and never had an issue with glass chipping but *bam* sti, and a got 3-4 chips within a few weeks. maybe it's just my time?

If there's a heating element in your glass for the wipers, let him know that as well.

if pilkington is a good glass brand, then a+! i'm most worried about stories where safelite has two kinda glass, low end and the more expensive one - their low end looked foggy during warm days or somesort?

edit: you know what sucks? i'll find threads about OEM being weak glass, then i'll find threads about aftermarket being weak glass :/ so i guess ymmv.

I used budget glass last time I replaced mine. This was the 2nd replacement I've had. I used safelite the first time and they were good but the 2nd time around, they were at least $170 more than budget. Forgot the guys name but he was nice and was able to come out to my house the next day. He did a decent job and so far the glass is holding up well.

I didn't really, It was my first comic con, i spent most of the time stalking some chick dressed like Vanille from FFXIII. I kid, i kid... but seriously, good thing my wife didn't go, she would have caught me staring at scantly clad versions of video game and comic book characters.

I didn't see those booths, I did catch the Resident Evil 6 and Konami booths. Played the RE6 demo and the HD reboot of ZOE. Assassins Creed 3 looks pretty boss too. One of their promotions was you had to find a guy walking around comic con (a "target") and tell him "You've been assassinated" and you get some prize, I never found the guy... I pretty much spent the rest of the time wandering around spending money, like the 10 bucks i spent on a vinyl Tupac figure.
