'03 WRX wagon windshield crack--anyone else?
Hi guys,
I've been waiting 5 years. Finally, got my WRX--a wagon as it meets the cargo minimum and price maximum required by the family--30 days ago.
Sunday I didn't use my WRX, but a crack showed up all the way across the bottom of my windshield. In cold (but not overly so) CT.
Has anyone else had trouble with spontaneous cold or stress cracks in US-spec WRX wagons, or sedans? Or, does anyone have a link to such info?
Cheers,
Sean

Mine cracked on a twisty downhill turn. I was going about 70, and a crack appeared from the top middle to the bottom middle. The dealer said it was a rock chip, but there was no impact noise. 480.00 on a 500.00 deductable. I think the structure is not as strong as it needs to be for such a tall windscreen

I have an 02 sedan and live in RI, mine cracked earlier this winter. The crack was about a foot and a half long across the bottom. I don't see what could have caused it besides the cold. Thats allright though, my insurance covered it and I couldn't be happier.
