Question Which earbuds?

Okay earbud users, er-6's or e3c's or other? Where is a good (read cheap) place to get these?

I like fontopias:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...275283-4891868

I bought my first pair for $100. My second pair was $50. They are selling for $25 these days, but they sound great and feel perfect.

I've never tried the Shure lineup though. But if you want damn good stuff without paying much check out the fontopia line.

I know you're specifically asking about shures, but i got these a little while ago, and they are the best that i've heard before you cross the $100 line.

They're almost the same as what Aegon posted up, but i also have the 51's and the 51's are more heavy on the bass while the 81's are a little brighter.

e5's were like $500.

e2 around $100.

e3 around $200.

i had a chance to listen to them last month at CES.

i prefer the e3 to the e2...

Better sound AND you can look like a b-boy/DJ! Everyone will think you're cool, especially if you were them with a back pack on too!

I've got Fontopias (MDR-EX71) as well, but the white ones to match the iPod. Can't beat that for $30 and much better that the stock earbuds, though doesn't work well if you try to go running with them.

Ryan, I use my fontopias when I work out and bike. They have never come out on accident, and the best part about them is that they are so light that you forget you have buds in your ears.

I've owned the 51s and 71s, seems like the same stuff with different cords to me.

Yeah i own both the 51's and 71's .. the only difference is the cord and case. The 71's look a little more expensive too. I'm pretty sure the earbuds are exactly the same, no sound difference. Great earbuds

i had a pair of 51's and currently have the 71's but the left side just went out. both are very similar but he 71's have chrome on the earbuds and look prettier. thats about it.
