We have an 09 WRX coming in for an E85 setup and tune next week. I'm very excited to see how that does

This is yet again the most power I've seen to date out of a VF turbo!

WHat kind of intercooler on that 07 wrx? That power/torque curve is looking great. I'm definitely going to upgrade to an E85 setup in the future (I'd have to change my avatar too )

I hope whoever owns the 07 is planning to install a meth setup before Summer. It would be a shame to have that much fun, driving with numbers like that, only to lose it during the Summer heat.

I don't think he's planning on running meth. We're going to re-visit the tune once the weather turns hot. While I do expect some inherent power loss from the heat, the high knock threshold of the E85 should allow us to retain at least most of the power.

Thanks

Here's a car we've been working on for a while. The engine is all broken in and we got the car driving extremely well with the AEM, so we started giving her some more boost .

This is an 04 STI with built engine, built heads w/ BC 272 cams, ATP GT35R (Stock location, EWG), TXS FMIC, ID2000cc injectors and AEM EMS standalone controlling things. This pull was done on E85 at 26psi:

This thing is extremely impressive especially for a stock location turbo! We're seeing full boost around 4400RPM and transient response is excellent all around.

Next we're going to extend the revs out to at least 7500RPM and bring in a couple more psi of boost to see what she'll do. This car is also in dire need of more traction, so some better/bigger tires will be making it on soon as well.

Thanks

A little update on this car. The customer made it out to Sacramento raceway a couple weeks ago and got some killer passes in. His best run was an 11.6 @ 122mph! He also had another run trapping 121mph before he blew up 2nd gear. He's now replacing the tranny and waiting to get back to the strip .

I was expecting the 11.6, but the 122mph traps are just insane for any VF series turbo. AFAIK, this is the highest trap we've seen out of a VF series turbo to date.

Thanks

I wish the wrx trannies were a little stouter...Relatively cheap to get in the low 12's or hi 11's with E85, kinda expensive to stay there though...5MT in stock form can only take so much...

And those passes were with a RA 5 speed. I think he is going with PPG's or a dogbox now.

I think he actually went with M Factory gears, but not 100% sure. I'm excited to see what else he can do with this car!

Ed, any idea when the DW1000 will be available for 2004 STi? Also, what do you think of the ID1000 with top feed conversion kit? Can't wait to go E85!
