e46 rims on a e36

i know this isnt a bmw forum but would the oem e46 m3 rims fit on a e36 m3?

yes it will. offset and bolt pattern are the same.

i'm assuming you are talkin about the 18" M3 wheels and not hte 19"

Just remember, rear offset on an E46 M3 wheel is low...a lot lower than the factory E36 M3 wheels

What Rau said about the offsets being is the same is NOT correct

Front e46 M3 wheels probably would work all around.....rears are iffy

thanks for the correction Zoeb.... that means my old parts director at Peter Pan BMW is lying to people.....

so if i would purchase stock e46 m3 rims i would have to change the offset to fit a e36 m3? if i didnt want to bother with the offset i would be able to directly bolt it on?

I would believe Zoeb on the BMW wheel stuff. He sells dubs for a living y0.

well you can't change offset you make it higher, you can only change it to make it lower (via spacer)

You want a higher offset though, not a lower offset
