Drove my friend's 350Z
what are your plan when you are getting your new ride? DD,autoX,track? 350z and s2k can get annoying after a 1-2 years if it is your only car. sti/evo give you the space and awd if you plan to take it to tahoe.
I believe there's a recent Japanese track comparison (S2k, WRX, G35, RX8, MX5 - yeah, kind of strange mix). The WRX easily scoots by the RX8, the extra torque must help, I guess...

A regular WRX should beat an RX-8, no problems, costs less than the STI. But I do hear great things about the Mazda. Richard Hammond loved it during a comparo on Top Gear...

Look at my name and then look at the car I have in my profile. I'm pretty sure you can figure out the rest of the story.

Iono guise, don't wanna sound like a traitor but if they come out with a 370Z Nismo edition it will be hard not to get that.
And maybe an older Impreza for DD?

I beg to differ. A Nismo 370Z would be hard to get just imagining the +$40K price tag. I bet it's a kick as ride, but it will probably cross into Corvette price territory and a car like the Nissan Z shouldn't go there w/o some assistance from forced induction.
I was a HUGE fan of the 300zx when I was younger. I was dead set on getting a 350Z for several years. I even had one on my desk through school as a motivator to study hard. And then I test drove it.....it was sooooo disappointing. Maybe I was just used to the supercharger in my boyfriend's jetta at the time, but I remember feeling let down.
My STi driving experiences on the otherhand were amazing! I am SOOOO happy I got an STi instead of a Z. AWD, 4 seater, great people from i-club to hang out with, so many awesome things about this car...and it just keeps getting better....the access port I installed Saturday is making my car even more fun. Can't wait for the stage 2 turboback exhaust.
Go with the STi. You won't regret it!!
