i didn't mean to dunk it in water...it was an accident of course. i'm trying to save myself the cost of a new one. it powers up but screen has some moisture inside.

Put it in a ziplock bag full of rice, or maybe try to get one of those packets that suck up moisture. You are kind of out in terms of warranty. If you have insurance on it, it might be covered.

take out the battery

If it hasnt been damaged already. If it goes into water take out the battery and open up every thing. Let it try for a few days then try to power it up. The rice works faster

if you try to power it up right away thats when you do damage.

dammit...powered it up and it worked but the screen didn't work. I removed the battery and took a blow dryer to it. Now nothing. It's in a bag of rice now.
