Or the good ol' fashion way... by command line. We could probably write a nice batch file or script for it, but I think it either already exists or an actual Evo 4G owner should write it. Droid X guys lucked out. Script was originally written for Droid 2, but the process for Droid X is nearly identical.

Updated scripts to overclock. Cleaner code, still need to do some work, though.

 

I rooted my evo 4g about two months ago. The best thing about rooting the phone is free wireless tethering, being able to run custom roms, nand back ups and overclocking.

Best, and easiest way to do it is...

See if you can export your contacts in a .csv file. From there, go to your Gmail account and import the .csv file. And your phone will autosync the changes.

Yes sir. All of those I use. The overclocking thing for the Droid 2 and Droid X has only been available since this week.
