Talking Thanks

Thanks MCDRAMA. I am not sure if I will be able to make it but will try.
I noticed they stressed to put on your front plate. Any idea why. Do the rangers look for them and ticket you if you don't have one?

Cobb Tuning makes a Catback Exhaust with catalitic converters so it is leagal. Get it with their ECU remapper. It costs $1,700.00 but for the STi you will get 350 hp out of it.
Their mapper also has maps for Valet and Anti theft.
The Valet keeps the RPM's under 3000 and the Anti Theft shuts the engine down beyond 1000 rpms. I kind like that idea, plus you can simply unplug the mapper if you need to take it in for service.

Unfortunately right now no one out there is a certified modder so you kind throw your warentee out the window if you do anything.
EvoWorks is authorized by Mitsubishi so if you get modds done by them your warentee is still good. How cool is that..

350 crank HP? I haven't seen any COBB Tuning cars make any decent power...

Cool Cobb

Hi Porkchop,
I am just going off the web site. Not saying that is actual. They say their stage two setup which includes the catback and mapper puts out 350. Not sure if this is just a fluke or what.

honestly dood, skip the Access Port and get EcuTek, you will be very happy. or maybe, see if someone will lend you their AP so you can test it out and see if you like it.

Thumbs up Still looking.

Yeah that is why I haven't purchased anything yet. I liked the idea of not burning my ECU again, and being abe to bypass it, but I haven't spent that much time investigating what the best option is.
