guys...the horse has been beatin
As we said, after the run there was plenty of flaming done to the guys who were going wide, etc. There is another run this weekend, im pretty sure it wont be like this one
Normally they are all subies or all evos, I think the mix of the two may have gotten to the best of some of the drivers. Lessons were learned, etc ,etc

I also think that had we all stayed inside the lines, others wouldn't have needed to push so hard to keep up.
Thats awesome that everyone realizes what mistakes theyve made. Ive made them to, not as bad as the ones described, but yeah ive fixed them and unless we are all 16-17 year olds we should be in control of our actions by now.
theres a big difference between drivers from now, and ones that were driving before drifting was even a word.

hey guys, okay i just found this thread and didnt get a chance to post earlier.
I was the white STi driver so let me just put my own insight on this. the silver MR waved to me that i should get ahead of him. i know that turn seems very sharp, but it was not a 180' hairpin like so many people mentioned earlier. it was actually pretty wide, i could clearly see what was ahead of me for a good 100-150ft or so. HE SIGNALED ME TO GO AROUND thats why you see me earlier in the vid on the other side, but there was not enough space to go around him then. I never would have passed him if i was not confident that i could get by him without an incident.
Another thing, there was only a select number of times we acctually even crossed the double yellow. we were in our lanes for most of the drive, only times were to go around a bike, or in aldouse's case to keep with the pack.
with all that said, i respect all of your opinions, i realize that it was dangerous to pass him, and i admit that, but i am not some stupid *** kid who goes driving like a maniac all the time, it was a fun drive and we did respect the roads.
Thanks to Aldouse and ucbsti for having my back and not leaving out to dry!!! they were there and can speak from experience exactly what happened.
and good vid aldouse, im suprised the tripod didnt fall over.

aldouse slowed down during the drive in order to get shots of everyones cars. and you can here his tires break traction every once in awhile. its hard to hear everyone elses tires when the cars are spread out like they were. and the point is to not lose traction, we werent DRIFTING!!!

its important to bring up sport bikes because a car vs a bike will equal in the guy on the bike getting Killed, and the car most likely fine except for damage. Guys that ride bikes do break laws, of course, but the difference is that they are putting themselves at risk, not others to the same degree as a car does. if a car goes over the double yellow and hits a biker then i garuntee the biker is ****ed where the driver of the car will be fine. if the biker goes over the double yellow and hits a car, again the driver will walk away. I've seen it personally, and its a scary story.
when it comes down to it, cars are not at as much risk as bikes.

I not sure this post expected this kind of reaction ~ but, it certainly woke some people up, eh?
I think the bottom line is you are are SHARING the road ~ yes, we can all be dumb and make mistakes. But, to cross over intentionaly is simply lame.
Everyone of us has had the expierence of coming around a corner to find someone else where he shouldn't be... why increase those %'s?
We all bought these cars to woop it up... don't deny it. I think those of us that were vocal are only saying. 'use your head not your ego' on the road.
I cannot deny, it looked fun. But, that fun can turn ugly REAL fast!
Peace

its cool you took all these posts in and didnt get all fired up, like i was when i made the first 5 posts in one hour... but i couldnt believe it, its something you dont want to believe. Kinda like when youve been eating at a favorite restaurant for years, and you see hidden camera video of the chef stuffing the food down his pants but you say..."meh, its still delicious" ok that was gross but you get it?!
Of course i pointed you out, and named your car and color and all, just so people can reference the exact scene i was talking about. I dont know you at all, so its not like i was trying to attack you or anything.
Its just people that dont leave their egos at home that really get to me, they dont pull over when the guy behind is clearly faster, they think theyre badass when they cut the corners when others are afraid etc...
So i guess the lesson is you cant trust an EVO and its actually more dangerous to cut over the yellow while passing than it is by yourself.
Im glad i got to put my share in for all the 16 year olds reading this. Its like parking at highschool, there are fewer spots throughout the year as people turn 16. There are new kids on the road every week.
cool and peace -Kyle

. anyways, just wanted to point out that if you dont know me, then the video does really make me look like an *** i guess. its only the weekends that i really push my car, i drive like a grandma the rest of the week.
