Exclamation

I'll tell you what... as an ex-sportbike rider this one made me cringe. There are so many trips over the double yellow (a few on corners that were NOT known to be clear), I am thankful nobody found a sportbike doing twice your speed coming the other way.

Yeah, I drive fast and a case can be made for TOO fast. But, I treat that double yellow as a guardrail. On the road it should be! I don't want to be the one sitting on the shoulder of the road looking at the carnage of a rider and bike...

Looks fun. Just keep it in YOUR lane and cool the double yellow passes!

I do as well. I guess people think they are invincible or think showing off is better then safety to them selves and the people in the on coming lane.

I only cross that line if I over shoot, or if I can see 200+ feet ahead.

the times i crossed the double yellow is when i could see far up ahead... and even then... i crossed because it was the only way for me to keep up w/ the pack....

i have no respect for people that cross the double yellow on blind corners.
I admit i do it quite often, but thats at night, and the corners are open and no longer than ~45 degrees.

Ive driven with people that cut halfway over the line on a 180' BLIND by a cliff turn! thats when i say **** you you icewhole

Before i met the monday night SC guys here on I-club, i was running with a guy i "knew" he was cutting the corners pretty bad, i was in my miata so i had no prob keeping up with the turbo volvo. He cut over the other lane on a 180' left with cliff on left (totally blind) i was like **** this, i saw two blue subys and a red miata pass going the OPPOSITE way LESS THAN 1 MINUTE LATER! I WAS LIKE OHHH MAN! if the volvo were any slower they wouldve met at that corner and hit forsure.

So i ebraked a dirt turn out and started to chase my new friends up a road so cool i cant say the name of (PM)

Ive really wanted to make stickers that say "dont drift into me" with a little graphic or something, because people dont realize how serious it is. The Subys and a miata wouldve been totalled, not to mention serious injury to the guys on the monday night SC thread.

I wasn't speaking of you... when your the last man over the line, it's sort of moot point, eh? Obviously it's clear, everyone is still on the road.

The guys in front showed NO respect for the double yellow. Not to put too fine of line on it... I could have been coming the other way even faster and staying on my side (bike or car) and I just bought a one way ticket to the hospital (at best).

I could go to Milpitas Square right now, get a drink, and it'd be done by the time I got back.

while I see what you are all saying, the vantage point from inside a car 300 feet ahead is much better than what the camera shows. It looks blind from the camera chase car, but who knows what it looked like in car

Not condoning it, just saying, if you are already apexing a turn its not exactly blind

after everyone passes the mercury cougar. It was a right 90 OPEN SIGHT (went wide left) into straight (stays in left lane) into an uphill left 180 (BLIND AKA 15 ft of CLIFFSIDE AND BUSHES)stayed in left lane around the bend! oops here comes a streetbiker with a wife and kids at home...OVER THE BARS INTO THE SILVER EVO. Leathers dont stop 3000 lbs of car from crushing in your ribcage and dieing.

You're gonna get some flames but that was pretty nice. Not all of us can afford 200+ for track days. Just keep it smart and safe.
