Door Removal, install, and fittng?

I did a search and can not come up with much information.

I am replacing my front drivers door. Someone creased it by doing the infamous "Can't park and run" and left some nasty scratches and dents. No biggie, found an 32J door for 200 bucks and just got it the other day. Actually saved out a lot since I do not have to paint the door and get it fixed. The crease is too extreme for a dent pull and it would need to be cut and re skinned, according to 5 body shops.

Now I know fitting door is not too tricky. I know I'll have to leave a few bolts loose to align the door and what not. However, I can not seem to find one good write up on this subject. From the looks of it, I will have to remove the headlight, front fender, and side skirt to get to the door henge bolts and the electric wiring harness (for the doors components, speakers, power window, and so forth).

I was wondering if anyone has done this before or not? I could take it to a shop to get this done but I know it can not be that hard and in a few hours tops I think I could successfully pull this off.

Any help, links, and suggestions would be golden. I plan on taking pictures and doing a write up of my own but like anything else, prep work and understanding will help the overall process.

TIA

-Jason

I did stop in there to see how much they would charge to fix everything. it was pretty cheap.. looked like a good shop as well. Lots of cars and they do everything there, which is great for turn around and not waiting for **** to get painted.

good place.
