It has to do with offset of wheels. Check the fender gaps at slight angle. The wheels are nice no doubt, but that offset does not bring the wheels outward to fill up the fender gaps to give that racey look. This is what some JDM judges look for at shows. Fill that sucker up with wider and proper offsets will help win shows. And also gives the car more racey look.

Same reason goes for people lower their car but still with stock wheels and tires..
