Dodge ahead of its time?

So I was filling up my mom's 2002 Dodge Caravan (pimp mobile, I know) with gas today and I noticed the inside of the gas door said it was E85 compatible! There are no E85 badges on the outside and I don't remember the country being all E85 crazy back in '02. I was rather surprised.

The cars that are going into testing today are 2015 models at the least. Technology takes time to trickle down to us. The have known that E85 would be an alternative for a while, but it takes time to actually get it moving and make it accessible.

But who says that car companies and oil companies don't work together right?
