My problem: my Seagate 2.5" laptop internal drive is fuxxord but under warranty so Seagate says to return it for a replacement. BUT! I need to ship it properly and I don't have the original packaging anymore.

Does anyone have a hard drive box/packaging/foam/eggcarton/clamshell/etc that they can donate to me so I can do this return?

I'm in south bay (mountain view or west san jose)

Worst comes to worst, just go to the UPS store and have them package it up and send it - I've sent Lord knows how many HDs back to their manufacturers and just had UPS pack 'em.

 

I work in the shipping department of a warehouse, have lots of boxes, bubblewrap, popcorn/peanut things. And discounted UPS shipping. But I'm all the way in Livermore

 

I have the box thing. I'll bring it back this weekend.

why dont do you like a did a few years ago when maxtor wanted me to ship a bunch of drives back to them.

i just drove down to their SJ address (6-8 years ago) and just reversed WILL CALL it...
