w3rd!

shame on you... good chances are you fubared it up more then it already was, if not killed the motor for sure.

the chance that the car was at idle and just shut off befor causing any hardcore damage is good, but you turning it over only made everything worse for sure.

-15 for you
^^^Exactly. And I don't see a point of making fun of that customer/owner either. May be he/she had emergency situation or flooded home. Most of us are consumers here, not car sales men. I picked up a new Subaru from fairfield a few days ago. That place was flooded. That dealer lost 5 brand new cars. I don't think they tried to start those engines.

the owner is dealing with insurance and will call it an act of god (or something along them lines), somewhat like what you would call infor if a tree smacked into u in high winds. the motor was way past gone before i even got to it... kinda, when it got to nissan it wouldn't even turn over (tecs tried) then i got to it and it turned over but no start but today one of the tecs got it to fire up, but shut it off when he heard the nasty sounds of bent rods and whatnot. my understanding of what happend is the owner was driving and saw a body of water, didn't kno how deep it was and just kept pushing on till the water got up the airintake, it locked up on spot and a tow truck had to come and fish it out. SORRY IF I DID ANYTHING THAT YOU DON'T AGREE WITH, but what i did wasn't going to hurt it anymore then how it already was. I DON'T WANNA HEAR ABOUT IT ANYMORE!

That guy is a ****ing retard. I am sorry but if you hydrolock a motor you are a ****ing retard... end of story...

I have driven through a damn creek that was a good 8 inches deep when I had CAI(in my gti) and the car didn't even sputter... If you have a manual car, and you see a huge thing of water up ahead and you aren't sure how deep it is PUT THE ****ING CLUTCH IN!!!! You would have to completely submerge the filter with water to even have a CHANCE to hydrolock a motor at Idle... If you are STILL worried about it... Turn your car off while you go through the water then once you coast through it... turn it back on!! I lived in Arizona where there was DEEP run offs all over the road and I never once hydrolocked my car, and to this day I will say to anyone who hydrolocks their car, they are ****ing retarded.... enough said...

If you guys cover him under warranty that is just stupid... "Hey Umm I'm a retard, I thought my 350z was a submarine and I could go explore the ocean bottom, but for some odd reason my entire interior is flooded and my engine doesn't work anymore... No where on your flyer does it say "The 350z is no a submarine" so I think you guys owe me a brand new car...."

damn sounds like you feel that anyone that drives should be a mechanic... haha remember most people that drive dont have a clue how to change there own oil buddy

and hydro lock is something most owners have no idea could happen. so i'd have to call you a idiot for asuming every driver is mechanically inclined

Umm, then you shouldn't be putting a Cold Air Intake on your car then if you aren't atleast Semi Mechanically Inclined, I think if you modify your car you should know atleast two ****s about what/why you are doing this current modification...

And no matter how non-mechanically inclined you are... if you manage to hydrolock a factory location Intake Box... You are a ****ing retard... To hydrolock my Camaro I would have to go through about 2 feet of water at full/partial throttle, which I assume is pretty much the same as to what the 350z would have to go through, THEREFORE!! The owner is a ****ing idiot, and my statement still stands....
