I just grow so damn tired of people who can't take responsibility for their own actions.

I'm not worried. He clearly doesn't know my driving habits or how stringent I am at taking care of the car.

It was an inside joke - meant more for the person than the expression. If you get it, it was funny - if not, then...

Don't break in maps have rev limiters and conservative tunes? If a motor is grenading during break in, thats on the builder/tuner.

Devils advocate... you and I both know another guy that's blew 7 motors and I'd only put the blame on him for 2 of them.

Not always.

But I'd tend to agree with you. If a motor goes on the dyno or in the first 1000 miles there's usually something wrong with the build and the builder/tuner should at least carry some of the responsibility with it... unless of course the owner is doing things like messing with the tune or driving like a moron.

And I know for sure that a few of our shops have honored just this kind of situation. Had motors have issues that were clearly not the customers fault and they took care of them.

After reading your sob story (In my thread no less) I have to say if I was a engine builder, I would tell you to FO if you came in for a new motor. You sound like a nightmare of a customer who can't keep his crap in line, abuses cars, and pretty much have no clue about mechanical care/upkeep.

Personal responsibility kid, try some.
I was insanely **** breaking in my motor... at 1000 miles I went WOT. I'd been wanting to do it since I drove it off the lot.

Motor... 228,000 miles and counting....

Not sure why. Do you know him?

I can put the blame in the engine builder and tuner on 3 of the motors. 2 of them on the wonder. The other 2 are a toss up.

But 3 of them were pretty clear cut.

LOL - I prefer the tuner who can set the map, I can drive it and enjoy it. If I have to "break it in" and "baby" the car, that equates to a pool cue that I can't use to break with...completely worthless to me.
