But I'd tend to agree with you. If a motor goes on the dyno or in the first 1000 miles there's usually something wrong with the build and the builder/tuner should at least carry some of the responsibility with it... unless of course the owner is doing things like messing with the tune or driving like a moron.
And I know for sure that a few of our shops have honored just this kind of situation. Had motors have issues that were clearly not the customers fault and they took care of them.

100% your fault, you admitted to doing it at 1200 miles (motor not yet or just BARELY broken in) and I suspect your full of **** saying you "never" mobbed on it before that point.
After reading your sob story (In my thread no less) I have to say if I was a engine builder, I would tell you to FO if you came in for a new motor. You sound like a nightmare of a customer who can't keep his crap in line, abuses cars, and pretty much have no clue about mechanical care/upkeep.
Personal responsibility kid, try some.

Motor... 228,000 miles and counting....

LOL - I prefer the tuner who can set the map, I can drive it and enjoy it. If I have to "break it in" and "baby" the car, that equates to a pool cue that I can't use to break with...completely worthless to me.

He clearly doesn't know my driving habits or how stringent I am at taking care of the car.
