Dealership recommendations/insights, 2011 Outback?
Just wanted to see if anyone has had any recent good (or particularly bad) experiences to share with a particular local Bay Area dealership. My friend is looking for a new Outback.
ask for jamie @ capitol subaru.
i just bought a 2011 outback for 3k under MSRP. he gave me the best price and won't play games like other dealers.
i already got 3 quotes from truecar.com and their price beat truecar as well

I had a bad experience with Capitol Subaru sales, particularly "Rider" and the manager "Rusty". Rider promised several things to me (2nd key, floor mats, etc..) when I bought the car then decided that he had never offered any of them to me later and refused to give them to me. I finally got the service department to get me the key and pay for the floor mats.
Rusty was a whole different story, the guy is just full of ****. When my engine blew, somehow he was the one we had to deal with. Not only did he lie repeatedly to my face, but he insulted me saying I was not being respectful to him (this is after my car sat there for 5 weeks), and demanded that I pay $400 for a part that he couldn't tell me about.
My experience would lead me to go to a different dealer, but your results may vary.

Unless you are talking about used car or all-weather (rubber) floor mats...
There are pros and cons at all stealerships. There used to be a dealer that just kicked ***, but some folks run into the baddies sometimes. I'd try using the names from references. And stay away from the other names with horrible reviews.

One of my coworkers just got her outback last night through Capital. Seems like she was pleased with the experience and she got a good price on it from what I hear as well, mainly due to it being close to the end of the year and the dealerships are dumping inventory. I do not know who she was dealing with though.
