I've heard that swapping an SR20DET into a 510 is quite a ***** of a job. If I found a kit that made the swap easy, I'd SO be on top of that. I'm a huge fan of the SR20 and wish dearly that CA wasn't such a bunch of ****** about SMOG. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to drop an SR20 into an S13 or S14 chassis...

you can do whatever the hell you want to a 71 510. That's why they are getting harder and harder to find.....
guess I could be wrong but I'm pretty dang sure my buddies was far far from smog legal?

As nice as an SR20 in a pre-73 510 would be, I'd still rather have it in an S13. Dream setup. SR20DET with a bit over 250 at the wheels, s13 hatch (180SX) read end with the late S14 front end on it.
Pure jizm man... I wouldn't need pr0n anymore, I'd just go driving.
