The (Datsun) 510 thread
Back when the 510's were new there was a racing series pitting them against the BMW 1600's. Datsun won the series and had a TV ad that said both cars were modified but the reason they won was because the 510 was more car to begin with. It was funny. So much for the ultimate driving machine. I still have my 1968 Datsun 2000 roadster.
Another car similar to your 510s are the BMW 2002. I wouldnt mind fixing one of those up. If any of you have seen "My boss's daughter" with Ashton Kucher his car in the movie is a 2002.

Time to make people mad.
I reciently purchased a 1972 Datsun 240Z along with a SR20DET and all parts to mount it.
The Datsun has only one little bit of surface rust. Runs great. And im awating the summer so i can do the motor swap. Should be fun.
I also have a lead on a 2 door 510, 2 door RX3 and a 2 door B210. I can have them all for the totaly price of 1500 CDN. They all have been sitting for years, all ran before they sat. And all dont have any rust.
PS the 240 w/engine and stuff only cost me $500 CDN

Chris,
If you are interested in knowing about 510s, next time you see Aaron at UCKK, talk to him about his, and he'll tell you all you need to know about 510s.
His 510 was pretty dope i hear, i didn't know him back when he had it.

aaron you now troy right....510.
I would love to get into a 510 for fun. FDTT.....I may have to take a trip to canada....$500 that's like.....$340 US isn't it.
A friend of mine has a 240z for sale in fremont if anyone wants info I can drop them a line.
Of the top of my head I think it's a 73. Silver. Recent paint. Good shape. dual carbs. ran good last time I saw it but I haven't seen it in years. But it used to be a little runner. white with crazy red stripes on it.
I love a good datsun man.
Hook it up with one of those 510s. I have some buddies coming down from canada this summer and I may be going up.
