Daniel Wentz (JoeBobBucket) - R.I.P.
repost recap
Subaru Community meet will be at MVKK this thursday night, come anytime around 8pm or so
https://www.i-club.com/forums/meetings-events-donuts-91/new-official-mvkk-meet-thursdays-8pm-159911/
2146 Leghorn Street, Mountain View, CA 94043-1606 (Krispy Kreme Doughnuts)
if you want to visit the crash site where we left a memorial of flowers and things, here is where the park is
http://tinyurl.com/yfub5bs
park on forest Ave, Santa Clara, which is the entrance to the community park there. this is a safe place to park and walk through the park to the memorial spot. this is much safer than parking on the side of the road, plus the memorial is on the park side of the fence and you can only access it via the park side.
the spot where the memorial is located is right at this spot.

you will see a bunch of pink flagging tape on the fence and tree, and then you'll see the memorial with flowers and whatnot next to the fence when you get there.
here are pictures from the memorial if you cannot visit it http://bit.ly/c4xdHl , http://bit.ly/b30hRM , http://bit.ly/bnqkHR
there is a plastic container hanging on the fence. please open it up and sign the log if you wish then seal the bag/container as best as you can, then re-hang it exactly as you found it. you can also leave little trinkets inside of the container.
the log and container will be collected in a few days, or next week, so that it can be saved and possibly given to the family.

I did not know Daniel, but I did want to say it is heart warming to see all of your fond memories of him. It seems to me that you are all lucky to have known him. My sincerest condolences to everyone who knew and loved him.
Rest in peace, Daniel.

I don't get outta work til 11 that night, but I'll try and get out as soon as I can.
People can meet at curtner Wingstop at normal time and we usually roll down to Milpitas afterwards anyways. I know wingstoppers meet around 9/ 930. If not, meet at Milpitas square.

and what of the mvkk meet, which is the original meet location that our group talked about the other day? ... is it going to be both now?

I haven't posted here or been to a meet in many months, but Daniel and I talked regularly online since I first met him at one of the Bubble meets a few years ago. It's totally heartbreaking to know that such a wonderful person and fixture in this community won't be around anymore. RIP Daniel, I will miss you.

I sold him my Vishnu exhaust last year. He was a great guy to talk to, we chatted up for while while our exhaust was being installed over at SpeedElement. R.I.P. Daniel.
