the spoiler on my wagon won't be so easily identified...

Instead of the jesus fish, try to get one of those license plate frames or sticker that say I support the CHP or sheriff, isn't there a foundation you can donate to for the CHP to get one of those? But then again if you pay the foundation, you're really paying them one way or another.

Or we can do a groupbuy on those plate frames or stickers

I used to be mad as hell but I got over it. Drinking helps.

Two threads with same topic that were crossposted to multiple forums have been merged into oldest of the two.

With an understaffed force the officers were forced to ride by themselves during graveyard which is ridiculous.

Also, might they be making a fuss out of a CHP officer DYING serving his community? Don't get me wrong but if my Dad died on patrol, I hope something would actually happen.

Don't you realize that his shooter turned in himself in? You're special.
As for you, please open your eyes and ****ing read the damn posts!!!!!!! First part of my first post was written by someone else. After the CHP incident, is where I started to vent and talking about what we should do, and what the cops should be doing. Sorry to vent out towards you, but you make it seem like I am some little kid that is out to make cops look bad or what not. I seriously feel bad for cops, but adding bull**** duties like looking for cars that are slightly modded, and tagging them as "street racers" is a bunch of bull. Until you get dicked around by cops for having a nice car that is totally legit, and looking really nice and spend an hour on the side of the road handcuffed seating on the sidewalk as 2 or more cops tear through your car looking for guns, or drugs, or any freaking thing they can bust you for, then I suggest you shut up. Also helps to read what other people like myself have posted. Hence me putting my name at the end of a statement or paragraph I wrote. I am glad so far no one has stopped me in my STi, even though I have not put on my plates even though I received them about 2 months ago now. Plastic plate flipped so the blank side shows, along withthe temp sticker in the front window, and no problems yet, even with my exhaust, which I took off until I decide what I am going to get next. Go ahead peeps, keep on replying.

If you seek a political solution, you might consider soliciting the support of other import car clubs, since imports seem to be more of a target than domestics or high-buck exotics like Ferrari or Porsche.

One obstacle is that there exists a petty rivalry between different brands of cars, even imports. It's dumb but it exists. If you ever hope to present our legislators with a united view on being unfairly targeted we need the support of everyone affected.

When contacting legislators, I suggest that you don't 'vent' on them using foul language to describe how you feel. If this is the only way you can express yourself, you will achieve nothing very quickly. Be rational in your arguments and open to their feedback. Many individuals writing to their legislators is usually more effective than signing petitions.

Talk about crack down on mod cars. I am from vancouver they have this Zero Tolerance thing on mod cars. They set up road blocks to stop every car not for drinking and driving but for mod cars. Even if your car is legal they will send you to get your vehicle inspected or towed. things like lowered car, turn signal, tires, coilovers, exhaust, etc... it's ridiculous but what can you do.

hey hey! Ferrari Enzos and Mercedes SLRs street race too!!

Seriously though, this is something that we must actually do something about. We need to gain the support of other car groups (such as Honda and Acura drivers). We must also get ALL the facts about the whole operation. For instance, it DID NOT start in Sac., it started in San Diego a years ago and Sac officers were sent down there for training. A good argument would be to find out by what percentage street racing has dropped since the induction of the program.

If I'm not mistaken, in one of the original threads about Sac starting the program, there was a link to an online petition...however I've never heard of those making a difference

that's why I have a wingless white wrx with stock wheels. I always have my silencer in, and am probably going to switch to the borla hush or something to look more stock, even w/ running a GT30R. Going to use custom axles so I can run the 6MT and R180 w/ stock wheels as well lol

No bling goes a long way in preventing cops from suspecting a modded car. My friend's stock STI (and many people's stock sti and evo) have been pulled over and suspected of being modded. I've gotten pulled over for suspect drunk driving (when I was the DD) multiple times in fremont and over bay area, not once have I ever been cited for a modified car. Maybe I'm just lucky. One time the cop even gave me a fixit ticket for my left rear brake light not working, and didn't give a rat's **** about the exhaust...

yeah maybe I'm just lucky

The reason Stockton is cracking down so much is cause of all the street racing that is taking place up there. The street racing scene is just moving up California. Milpitas, Union City, Oakland, Tracy, now Stockton. Once the street racing has died out there, cops will go back to normal. As for me, I'm staying as far away from Stockton as I can. Cops will hear my exhaust 2 blocks away.

That's why I can stress enough to be safe drivers when you are kickin it with people going to and from meets and events. I know we have to lay the power down sometimes, but we need to make as good of an impression as we possibly can.

I know even hang outs get broken up. I've been to some perfectly civilized meets in the Bay that attracted 300+ cars, and the rules were set from the start about no racing, revving, etc. and none of that was taking place. But even in this situation the police showed up and said they were gonna tow everyones cars. So no matter what you do, if you have a nice fixed up car, you're screwed. If you try to set up a meet that is anti-racing, it's gets broken up by the police for loitering, even though most of the meets I've been to like that were at TapX which I've always payed for a drink. (making is legal for me to park there)

oh and on that note...funniest thing was at TapX in Union City, tons of cars showed up, and a while later the police did too. They were asking people where they heard about this meet, or if they knew who put it together? Then the police said out loud, if you arent gonna buy something you need to leave...so a swarm of a couple hundred people came into the front area of TapX and started buying. hahaha. The owner of TapX showed up later and one of the security was complaining to him about the cars, but then a worker came out and showed the owner all the receipts (which was a freakin huge stack) and the owner had a fat smile on his face.

Heres a tip: Don't illegally modifiy your car if you are worried so much about this.

If you have legal mods, then what can anyone do about it? Nothing thats what.

this is the reason why i recenly have chosen to go wingless and put an rs hood on my car with a fmic ... oh and switch from my loud *** invidia to my nice quiet aps that looks more stock since i may paint the muffler part black soon, im not going to give up my drop and wheels and tires though. my friend in a 01 ws6 transam got pulled over in rohnert park cause his car is pretty loud, the cop noticed the headers and ended up writing him an open ticket to see a smog referee and have it inspected the car put down 539 on 91 with about 30k total into it, tranny rearend new motor everything so now hes going back to stock and selling the car. its sad these things happen ... almost makes me want to move to a new state... i hear arizona is nice.
haha
