UPDATE AGAIN!!!

Im really trying hard to explain what I need.

its a MALE TO MALE 90 Degree 3.5mm Connector

Basically what was linked above, except no female connector, its male on both sides.

and ill take anyone up on their offer. I made a short cable that will work but it looks haggard.

If you really want a DIY job the easiest and cleanest would be to solder 2 male connectors together at a right angle. Then coat it in RTV silicone or epoxy.

A male to male 90 degree sounds like it would never be used.

And I just looked at the new ipod shuffle. Wow, IMHO, apple screwed up big time by not putting skipping tracks and volume on the unit.
