3. I have proof that you LOSE whp when using the AccessPORT. Dyno results on my hard drive kind of proof. What kind of proof do YOU have that AccessPORT achieves a gain in overall WHP??

4. AccessTUNER? IF and when that comes out, there aren't any COMPETENT COBB authorized tuners in Northern California who can tune. Because you buy a dynamometer, and spend a couple weeks going to school does not mean you are qualified to risk severely damaging someones vehicle. Especially when you make them sign a non-liability clause. I'd bet I could tune my car better, given the software, and the use of a dyno than Phantom Tuner.

5. Phantom Tuner? Well, read #4, since YOU and I know it applies to YOU!!

I've followed the directions of the lead Cobb tuner, exactly and to the letter, in order to get the best results on the dyno that they can possibly offer with the AccessPORT. Now if I could only get hold of Vishnu to make the runs for the additional proof. Then I can get the vehicle reflashed with the EcuTEK system, gain some REAL whp, and be happy.
1. Wrong

2. Wrong

3. Unfortunately there are thousands of others with documented proof that you do indeed get a gain of horsepower . If you car is messed up, or you're one of the hundreds of tools that run completely different mods from the intended mod path then ***** when their car doesn't run right, Cobb can't help you.

4. Did you just describe I-speed? lol No one is denying that Shiv knows his ****.

not quite yet, still on the second.

I can see why you would not worry about your tranny, the Cobb tune wont make the power to break it

I went with Cobb because i have no good local tuners. I would however go with vishnu if i lived close. I would like a dyno tune and also to user other parts than Cobb's path. But hey that may cjange with the AccessTuner. I like the AP. I thas been very easy to use and i have no regrets. To defend Cobb a little. To those who said that you make no extra power, your a fools. There is a guy localy with an STi(stock). We ran just for fun and we were dead even on may pulls( not at the track, dead end abandoned road). Ask him if i made no more power than stock. He was surprised. I have a Cobb stage2.

1. I've just posted (below) stock and the Cobb "Stage 2" readings. They are for all intents and purposes the same. Closed loop fueling until ~4000 rpm. Nothing different there...oh wait, I see about a 50 rpm difference...

2. I've posted the BOOST chart that shows a whopping <2 psi increase in boost levels. In the top end, it peters out to less than stock levels. Nowhere near the target boost levels claimed by certain tuners.

3. Let's see them. Produce some dyno results (not from the website) from others, or better yet, let's see what your vehicle produces on the dyno with the stock map flash, then your stage (x) map. The vehicle in question has a TurboXS downpipe, high flow cat, and a Bosal exhaust (3" all the way). It also (when tested on the dyno) had a K&N filter in the stock airbox. That satisfies Cobb's published requirements for a stage 2 setup. Look at the curve, toward the top end of the spectrum. Stock makes more PEAK WHP.

4. I won't name names, but I described the ONLY Cobb authorized dealer in the Northern California area (specifically north of the Golden Gate bridge). The one that I think posted the "Phantom Tuner" post.

I'm sure that Shiv knows his stuff.

Got BOOST??

As Initial D would say: GET ME POWER!!

Sorry, had to put that in...

Mud anyone??

I was told by a certain person (at Cobb) that mine MIGHT be one of the FEW Subaru vehicles that "just won't accept tuning". What's that about? I know that vehicle is special, but come on, what makes it THAT DIFFERENT??

Let's see your dyno charts...

I've posted mine. There's an 11 peak whp DECREASE sitting right there in front of your face (if you're looking at the dyno chart I posted). Let's see who has the proof!!

I have a couple of questions about your post, though.

1. cjange? Must be a Saabaru word.
2. your a fools? Dont you mean, "You're A fool"? Single or plural??
3. Localy (must be an Indiana thing).
4. may pulls? Is that something like Maypoles??

I'd ask him if he was trying or not. Find out if he took pity on you, and admired you for having the tenacity to try to take him on.

what good is this when its the actual tuning that determines a car's relative safety??

are you referring to parts or services?
