Try this, not sure how different it would be for a 5-speed though

Have a few helping hands, if you are only using stands then you def need a couple of friends to help.

Subaru clutch jobs are fairly simple. Hardest part will be separating the tranny from the motor. Some just don't want to come apart and require a **** ton of wiggling.

Protip: There is a hex bolt near the starter that needs to be removed.

Well that didnt quite go as planned, but hey it never does.. That step by step was amazing ! Except a few minor things. Sure was alot more steps than it looked like. Got everything mostly unbolted just have to drop tranny, swap guts and put it all back together which im gonna do tomorrow. Id say pretty successful for doing it by myself with a jack and some jack stands.

Gonzalez58, I just replaced the clutch on my STI yesterday too but had the luxury of being able to do it on a lift. Exedy stage 1 kit is awesome! Good luck on finishing it up today.

BTW, might be too late already, but depending on mileage, probably good idea to replace rear main seal while tranny is out.

I just went with an exedy oem clutch replacement, nothin fancy. I dont have any big power plans anytime soon and it fit my budget the best so it just made sense hah.. I also got an ACT light weight flywheel which i can already tell made a difference 🙌
